Description
The slender form of this tall ewer is punctuated by a prominent ring two thirds of the way up where the flattened handle connects to the body. This ewer is patterned with diagonal ribbings, giving the vessel a subtle texture that mixes light and shadows in the small grooves of its sides.
The glass of this 2000-year-old piece remains in excellent condition, having aged to a luxurious emerald green that has been carefully cleaned and polished.
